Abstract

Fill in the blanks increases one’s understanding in depth of the refrigeration system, its parts and the related operation in the refrigeration cycle. Dry evaporators are used in domestic refrigeration units. Flooded evaporators with accumulator are used in high refrigeration capacity plants. A certain degree of super heat at the outlet of the evaporator in dry units saves the compressor from breakdown because  the liquids are in compressible.
